About the Project

This mural, entitled Hope Blossoms, was sponsored by ruOK Berks, the Suicide Prevention Task Force.  The task force met with lead artist Greg Didyoung to develop an uplifting image of hope to bring attention to the importance of mental health.  The mural was painted by hundreds of people through community painting events hosted by many community organizations.

Augmented Reality and Lighting

In the Fall of 2023, the addition of lighting to the mural allows viewers to appreciate the artwork at night. Also, through Bloom Immersive, viewers can access an augmented reality element embedded in the mural.  QR labels on the street light posts in front of the mural will give access to a digital device.
