I and West Reading

I and the Village, by artist Marc Chagall, was painted in 1911, and was inspired by whimsical  childhood memories of growing up in a small village in Eastern Europe. Chagall's painting inspired this mural.

About the Project

This mural is part of the Kline Street Mural Corridor, a cluster of public artworks between 2nd and 3rd Aves.  It's design uses the famous painting by Belarusian-French artist Mark Chagall as inspiration for the composition, including themes of pets, trains, biking, gardening and the West Reading skyline.
