About the Project
The design was inspired by illustrator Charley Harper, whose simplified geometric forms offered a natural bridge between the existing neon, the architecture, and the visual language of children’s books. Library patrons helped shape the project by suggesting storybook symbols, which were turned into stencils and added during a community painting event.
