About the Project
The design combines historic photographs featuring local youth with an image of the former West Reading Elementary School that once stood on the site. Students from the Public Art Workshop and West Reading Elementary helped fabricate the work, while community paint events invited more than one hundred people to contribute. The tree serves as a symbol of growth, knowledge, and the community roots shared across generations.
