The cafeteria at Millmont Elementary School is the home of this mural. It was created through a summer program organized by Learn and Serve America and PA Migrant Education in partnership with the Reading School District. The theme of the mural focused on water and the sustainability of this valuable resource.

About the Project
Created over the six week summer program, the core group of students worked as facilitators to lead all students from pre-K through junior high to help in the mural studio. The mural included both painted and glass mosaic elements.
Images included in the mural touch on the importance of water; to drink and cleanse, nourish plants, our local watershed, marine life and the water cycle.
